Mailboxes: creating, listing, changing password and deleting

Manage email mailboxes in https://panel.cloudweb.sk, on the hosting page, under the Email tab (only shown when email is enabled for that hosting), Mailboxes sub-tab. If the hosting has more than one domain, pick the domain the mailbox belongs to at the top.

Creating a mailbox

The New mailbox button opens a form with these fields:

  • Username – the part before the @ (e.g. info); the domain is appended automatically.
  • Password – minimum 8 characters.
  • Display Name (Optional).

After creation, mailbox stats (size, message count) sync in a few seconds and the panel refreshes the list automatically.

Mailbox quota

Every new mailbox gets a 1 GB quota. The mailbox creation form in the panel does not offer a field to change it – the quota cannot be adjusted by the customer, either at creation or afterwards, through the interface.

How many mailboxes your plan allows

The number of mailboxes per hosting is capped by the plan. Once the cap is reached, creating another mailbox is rejected with a message about the plan limit.

Changing the password

Open the row actions on a mailbox and choose Change Password. The new password must be at least 8 characters. The change takes effect immediately – you will need the new password the next time you sign in from an email client or webmail.

Deleting a mailbox

The Delete action on a mailbox permanently removes it from the mail server and the database – including every stored email. Deletion is irreversible; the panel asks for confirmation first. System mailboxes (such as the one used to receive DMARC reports) are not shown in the list and cannot be deleted from this panel.

The "Setup Mail DNS" button

The Setup Mail DNS button on the Mailboxes tab creates or updates the MX, SPF, DMARC and DKIM records the selected domain needs for delivery and signing. If the domain's nameservers point to us, the records are saved directly. If the domain uses DNS elsewhere, the panel instead shows the records to add manually at your DNS provider (or you can point the domain at our nameservers).

The same DNS setup also runs automatically the first time you create a mailbox on a domain – the button mainly exists to re-run it, for example after switching DNS providers.

Next steps

  • Configuring a mailbox in an email client (Outlook, Thunderbird, Apple Mail...): Email client setup.
  • Signing in from a browser: Webmail – the login page is https://cloudmail.sk/webmail/.
  • Aliases and forwards (another address that delivers into an existing mailbox, or forwards outside the domain): Email aliases and forwarding.
  • Hourly/daily send limits: Email sending limits.
