Domain profiles (domain holder)

A domain profile is a set of contact and billing details for the person or company that is (or will be) listed as the domain's holder in the registry – name, address, email, phone and, where relevant, company/tax/VAT ID. You can keep several profiles in your account and choose which one to use for each domain registration or transfer.

Creating and editing a profile

Profiles are managed under Domain profiles (https://panel.cloudweb.sk, path Profile → Domain profiles). The + Add profile button opens a form with these fields:

  • Label – your own name for the profile (never sent to the registry).
  • Legal form – FO (natural person) or PO (legal entity).
  • First name, Last name, and for PO also Company (required).
  • Email, Phone.
  • Country, Street, City, Postcode.
  • Company/tax/VAT ID fields.
  • Birth date – required by SK-NIC for natural persons.
  • Own registry handle – optional.

For a company, the company field can be filled from a lookup against the Slovak business/trade register (search by company name or company ID) that also fills in the company ID, tax ID, VAT ID and registered address. If the lookup is unavailable, fill the fields in by hand.

The Default domain profile checkbox sets a profile as the one used whenever a domain has no specific profile selected.

Which domains use a profile

The assignment is made per domain, not on the profile. On a domain's page, in the Domain profile section, you pick one of your saved profiles, or leave it at Use the account default. The list of profiles does not show which domains currently use each one – to check, go through the domains individually.

Changing a domain's profile only affects future registrations and renewals – it does not rewrite the contact the registry already holds for that domain. To change the holder of an already-registered domain at the registry, contact support via a ticket.

Default profile and deletion

You must always keep at least one profile – the last remaining one cannot be deleted. Deleting a profile that is currently assigned to a domain reverts that domain to the account's default profile.

Registry requirements at checkout

When a domain profile is selected in the order form, the panel checks whether the chosen extension (e.g. .uk, .es, .au) still needs extra registry information based on the profile's legal form or birth date – those fields then appear directly at checkout.
